Piguena, Northern Spain

This line and wash sketch was done on smooth cartridge paper using a technical pen with an extremely fine nib. Lots of hatching was used to create tones. I laid on different planes of colour washes to suggest depth: French Ultramarine and Burnt Umber for the distant features and Burnt Umber for the buildings and foreground.
