19th and 20th September from 12 noon to 8.30pm
The exhibition is on for two days when David will be present.
The exhibition at the Osborne Studio Gallery shows a great many of the original paintings from David Bellamy’s Arctic Light, recently published by Search Press. The works are mainly watercolour, but include a few in mixed media, covering not just the Arctic landscapes, but the pack
ice, ice-bergs, the Greenland ice-cap, huskies and dog-sledges, the Inuit and their colourful homes, and also much Arctic wildlife is represented. Many of the paintings recall fascinating incidents when carrying out the original sketches, sometimes in challenging and hazardous conditions.
